College Navigator for Financial Services

Felician University, the Franciscan University of New Jersey is seeking a multi-dimensional, student-centric, innovative and creative student support specialist to serve as a College Navigator for Financial Services.  Reporting to the College Navigator Manager, the Navigator advises students and their families in a variety of student support services, including but not limited to: financial aid application processes, federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs, current and past due balances/collections registration and records, and general support throughout their Felician University education.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.  Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to two years of required education on a year-to-year basis.

Qualifications:

Two years of related experience in student services on a college campus or in a community agency that provides comparable services to students or diverse community members; demonstrated experience working with minority students, at-risk students, and students from a variety of cultural/ethnic/religious backgrounds; computer and technological literacy skills and willingness to work with new software and other technologies; an innovative and collaborative spirit; excellent interpersonal, organizational skills, and attention to detail; willingness and ability to support and promote the Felician Franciscan mission and core values of the University; fluent in (Spanish and English) and comfortable communicating via a variety of channels, including in person, phone, and email; willingness and ability to and promote the Franciscan Felician mission and values of the University.
