The Center for Career & Academic Success (CCAS) has a personalized approach to supporting student development at Felician. Our team collaborates with all areas of the university to advocate for and empower students across their entire collegiate experience, ensuring excellence and persistence to graduation through a variety of services and supports. Our goal is to assist students in creating integrated pathways – both educational and career – that position them to thrive at our university and beyond. Finally, our team strives to empower students by providing the necessary academic resources and services that help build a foundation for lifelong success.
The Center offers readily accessible services, including support in writing, mathematics, science, subject area tutoring, learning strategies and time management skills, and assistance for students with documented disabilities. The services provided by the Center are free to Felician University students. CCAS is located in the Blessed Mary Angela building on the Rutherford campus and in lower Obal Hall on the Lodi Campus.

Academic Success Coaching
Academic Success Coaching is a partnership between a student and an Academic Success Coach (ASC) working together to develop proactive strategies to address academic concerns and life challenges.
An ASC helps a student:
- Focus on individual goals and identify steps to reach them.
- Identify and overcome obstacles that may impede success.
- Develop the academic skills and strategies needed to become a self-regulated learner.
- Explore effective time management and organizational skills.
- Connect to helpful University and community resources.
Discovery Program for Undeclared/Undecided Students
Felician’s Discovery Program is designed for students entering college who are unsure about a major and a career path. The Discovery Program provides opportunities to explore majors and career goals that fit students’ skills and interests.
Discovery Program students collaborate one-on-one with a designated advisor to:
- Assess personal talents, abilities, and skills (and learn hidden ones).
- Design, with an Academic Success Coach, an exploratory plan followed by a path to degree completion.
- Earn Curricular Commons credits (Gen. Ed.) applicable to all majors.
- Explore careers of interest as well as job outlooks and salaries.
- Connect with resources both inside and outside the University that support a successful Discovery Experience
