Biography

Professor Manigault has served as a member of the New Jersey Algebra Project, the Board of Governors of the New Jersey Mathematics Coalition, and the New Jersey Math and Science Coalition. She has received graduate certification in Computer Information Systems Assurance and Security from the Center of Excellence in Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS) at Purdue University in cooperation with the National Security Agency (NSA) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) in Washington, D.C., in response to Homeland Security’s efforts to build academic programs in Information Assurance and Security at colleges and universities around the country.
Professor Manigault was selected to participate in a delegation of 16 female college professors from the United States to travel to South Africa in October 2010, in connection with Nelson Mandela’s mandate to consolidate and upgrade colleges and universities in that country and prepare more women for the professoriate. She is Co-founder and President of The JELANI Institute (Justice Equity Love and Awareness NOW Institute).
