Field(s) of Interest/Expertise

Dr. Rogers has served as an environmental consultant on many projects in the region, with ongoing professional activity and research in impact assessment and management of wetlands and other natural areas. Dr. Rogers’ expertise and interests include environmental microbiology and biotechnology, wetlands management and sustainability, endangered species/habitat assessment, and population biology and propagation of native plants. Current research projects with students at Felician include studies of microbial adaptability to chemical and environmental stress, and genetic selection of microbial tolerance. Dr. Rogers is very interested in expanding student research opportunities in biology and environmental science, and providing students with experience in using current technology in laboratory and field studies.
