Computer Lab and Helpdesk Coordinator -Rutherford Campus

Felician University is presently seeking service-oriented, collegial, and responsive IT professional to serve as the Computer Lab and Helpdesk Coordinator for our Rutherford, New Jersey campus.  The Coordinator provides first level support to Faculty, Staff, and Students in assisting them with hardware and software problems via phone, email, or onsite assistance. S/he plays a critical role in supporting the IT needs of our university community in  fast-paced environment by managing daily operations of the service desk, ensuring timely resolution of  IT-related issues and providing superior customer service to end-users.  this position is a fully on-campus position.

Required Education:

High school diploma required, BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Qualifications:

High school degree required; BA/BS preferred. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; compTIA A+ and/or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) , Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) certifications and experience with educational technologies a plus; superior computer skills in a Windows-based environment and web-based applications; ability to learn new technology quickly and thoroughly; proficiency in using service desk ticketing systems such as Jira and remote support tools; ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure in a high-volume environment; excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to users of varying technical levels; demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, staff, and faculty; well-developed communications skills, including but not limited to a pleasant and professional telephone demeanor, ability to compose direct and effective email communications; strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and meet deadlines; flexibility and timeliness in responding to changing needs of the IT Helpdesk; ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan mission and core values of the University.
