Master of Arts in Education: Educational Leadership

At Felician, you’ll cultivate the tools necessary to advance your career and develop management skills, organizational abilities, and ethical decision-making techniques. In this program designed for certified teachers, you will become prepared for the New Jersey State Supervisor or dual Supervisor and Principal Endorsements. By participating in experiential learning models, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to assume leadership positions within the education system.

This program emphasizes innovative problem-solving through caring leadership, encouraging reflective practice based on professional knowledge of curriculum and instruction. To uphold a position as both an educator and a leader in the community and in diverse school settings, you will develop a strong understanding of the philosophies and principles guiding various leadership models. You’ll also learn teaching philosophies according to local, state, and national trends, as well as how to utilize culturally responsive practices.

By the end of the program, you’ll have developed a research project, a professional portfolio, and have completed a minimum of 30 hours shadowing a fully certified administrator.
