Admission Requirements for Ed.D. Program for Prospective Students

This option for admission is designed for traditional students applying to the doctoral program. Prospective students may either already be in leadership roles within their organizations or are looking to transition into leadership positions. Students may transfer in no more than 15 credits from a graduate degree program. In addition to a completed graduate application, the following are also required:

  • Master’s degree in education, higher education, business, or closely related field
  • Graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate coursework
  • Résumé or curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Statement of personal and professional goals
  • TOEFFL scores (for international students)

Admission Requirements for Prospective Students with Advanced Standing from Other Doctoral Programs

This option is for an Online ABD (All But Dissertation) Doctoral Degree Completion Program option in the Ed.D. in Educational and Organizational Leadership designed for those students wishing to complete their doctoral degree through Felician University. This admission option is for students who have been enrolled in a doctoral program at another institution and have not been able to complete their doctoral degree at another institution. Students with this advanced standing will be able to transfer credits from a previous doctoral program up to 30 credits. In addition to a completed graduate application, the following are also required:

  • Master’s degree in education, higher education, business, or closely related field
  • Proof of advanced doctoral study and coursework in education, higher education, business, or closely related field from another university program
  • Graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Official transcripts of all undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral coursework
  • Résumé or curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Statement of personal and professional goals
  • TOEFFL scores (for international students)

Transfer Credits

All transfer credits are subject to the review and approval of the Ed.D. Program Coordinator and Dean of the School of Education. A request to transfer credits must be submitted during the admissions process and include the appropriate course title, course description, and copy of syllabi in order to be considered. Courses being transferred must be within the past 10 years to be eligible for transfer credit. All transfer credit decisions are final after the review and determination has been made by the Ed.D. Program Coordinator and Dean of the School of Education.
