Admissions Counselor

Felician University is presently seeking an innovative, highly motivated, flexible, and goal-oriented professional to serve as Admissions Counselor of Undergraduate Admissions. Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Admissions Counselor participates in a wide range of admissions activities, representing the University is all areas of territory management. S/he determines the admissibility of prospective students in accordance with the admissions standards ad policies of the university and communicates with prospective students, school counselors, and interested parties to explain university admission policies and procedures, and accurately answer questions regarding admissions standards and policies, the programs of the university and campus life.

Required Education:

Associate degree required, BA/BS degree preferred

Qualifications:

Superior written and verbal communications skills; advanced analytical, critical thinking, problem solving/avoidance/resolution skills; valid driver’s license, ability and willingness to travel; excellent platform (public speaking) skills; well-developed organizational and time management skills; strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people; availability and willingness to work evening and weekend hours as needed; demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in interacting with students, faculty, staff and other internal and external stakeholders; knowledge of computer databases and information systems, experience with Slate CRM system a plus; willingness and ability to support and promote the Felician Franciscan mission and values of the University.
