Felician University announced it received official word from the Educational Testing Service (ETS) that its School of Education class of 2015 achieved a 100% pass rate on the PRAXIS II exam.  PRAXIS II measures the knowledge of specific subjects K-12 educators teach, as well as general and subject-specific teaching skills.

“We are very proud of our 2015 graduates, faculty and overall education program, which is marked by a nurturing learning environment, state of the art facilities and a steadfast commitment to our students spending more than 300 hours in the classroom as a prerequisite to taking the PRAXIS II exam,” said Rose Rudnitski, dean of Felician University’s School of Education.

“Felician University is also one of only two schools in New Jersey where students have the opportunity to test their learning, knowledge and skills in a simulation lab where they interact with avatar children in a high tech, virtual classroom environment,” Rudnitski added.

“On behalf of the administration, faculty and staff, I offer well-deserved congratulations to our graduates for a job well done, and wish them much success as they begin their careers in one of the world’s most rewarding professions.”

In 2015, and for the fourth consecutive year and the eighth time in as many years, graduates of Felician University’s School of Education were recipients of the coveted Distinguished Student Teacher of the Year Award, presented by the State of New Jersey’s Department of Education.
