New Assistant Vice President of Student Life to Prioritize Student Engagement and Experience

Mehtap Ferrazzano, Assistant Vice President of Student Life

RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician University announces Mehtap Ferrazzano as the new Assistant Vice President for Student Life. With more than twenty years of professional experience in higher education, Ferrazzano will prioritize student engagement and experience in her role at the university. 

Ferrazzano previously served in director, assistant director, and dean at universities across the northeast, including Assistant Dean for Student Engagement at Rutgers University, and Assistant Dean for Campus Life at the New York Institute of Technology. In her decades of experience, Ferrazzano managed multicampus oversight of student well-being, expanded campus leadership programs, and promoted career development opportunities for college students. She will work in tandem with the Felician University Center for Student Development and Engagement, Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and on other Student Affairs and campus-facing initiatives. 

“As I start this new role, I’m prioritizing doing a lot of listening to Felician students,” said Ferrazzano, Assistant President of Student Life at Felician University. “As I consider both immediate and long-term impact for students, my goal is to increase student engagement and to let them know that we are always here as a resource. I want the Office of Student Life to be more accessible to students than ever.”

Ferrazzano seeks to increase student engagement at Felician University through prioritizing accessibility to students within and outside of Student Life programming. She is committed to a consistent open-door office policy and seeks to offer her expertise to students in career development and career advice as well as campus engagement.
