Annual Majors and Minors Fair For Current, Admitted, and Prospective Students

RUTHERFORD, NJ – The Felician University Academic Team of Liaisons for the Arts and Sciences (ATLAS) will host its Majors and Minors Fair on February 21st on Felician’s Rutherford campus and February 23rd on the Lodi campus.  This annual event provides an opportunity for all underclassmen and undecided students to explore degree options.

Held for the first time in 2020, the Majors and Minors Fair allows students to engage with School of Arts & Sciences faculty and explore the wide variety of educational opportunities and new programs that Felician University offers. The event promotes interdisciplinary camaraderie among departments and students of all ages. Representatives from the offices of Career Services, the Registrar, and Student Affairs will also be represented to provide information and programming materials on their services. This year, for the first time, ATLAS has partnered with the Office of Admissions to invite newly accepted and prospective students to attend.

“Each year, Felician University students really take advantage of the services offered at the Majors and Minors Fair, and it is our goal to be as accessible and as helpful to our students as possible at this event,” said Dr. Sharon Towler, Associate Dean for Academic Administration in the School of Arts & Sciences. “We want our students to get acclimated to and acquainted with all the resources available to them.”

At the Majors and Minors Fair, Felician students can access services to change their major or minor, add or drop a major or minor, or simply learn more about degree options across Felician University Departments. There will also be a raffle that students can enter to be eligible to win a series of prizes; snacks will also be provided. Other campus resources such as Felician’s Counseling Center and the Center for Academic Success and Effectiveness (CASE), which provides advising for freshman and sophomore students, will be in attendance.

Felician’s School of Arts & Sciences Majors and Minors Fair will be held on February 21st on the Rutherford campus at Ray’s Place in Educational Commons, and on February 23rd in the Goya Dining Hall on the Lodi campus.
