Dr. Shore and Nursing Faculty Present Staff Development Program at Bartley Healthcare: Enhancing Skills and Knowledge in Nursing Education!
Dean Muriel Shore, along with Felician School of Nursing professors Mary Clare Smith and Mary Leban recently presented a Staff Development Day at Bartley Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation in Jackson, NJ. The theme of the program was “Advancing a Culture of Collaboration in Caring.” Dean Shore presented on the Expanding Role of Nurses in Long-Term Care Today and Tomorrow, the Legal Aspects of LPN and RN Practice, and Authorized Delegation Regulations. Professor Smith presented on Infection Control and Patient/Resident Safety and Documentation. Professor Leban presented a Review of Lab Values and Results Reporting/Role of the Nurse, and Time Management/Strategies for Managing One’s Self and Others. Bartley provided the contract hour credits for the program and a Certificate of Program Completion from Felician was presented to the nursing staff at the end of the day.
This program reflects the long-standing partnership and collaborative relationship that exists between Felician University and Bartley Healthcare. “We hope to do more educational programs for our clinical partners,” said Dean Shore. “The staff at Bartley is very special and should be commended for the excellent care they provide their residents.”
