Bergen Community College

A collaborative agreement between Felician University and Bergen Community College which allows students to transfer academic credits from Bergen Community College to Felician creating a seamless transition to earn a baccalaureate degree. Programs include Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with opportunities for graduate course work in the senior year with progression towards a Master’s degree.

Mercer County Community College

Residents and workers of Mercer County Community College market region to complete upper level courses required for certain Felician undergraduate and graduate degree programs on the campus of Mercer County Community College.

Middlesex County College

Agreement that enables residents and workers of the college’s market region of NJ to complete the upper division courses required for certain Felician University undergraduate and/or graduate Education, Psychology, Business or Nursing degree programs on the campus of MCC.

New York Chiropractic College
Pre-professional Program at Felician University

In the accelerated pre-professional Chiropractic Program, you will spend three years at Felician and earn your Bachelor of Science in Biology from Felician University upon successful completion of your first year of courses at New York Chiropractic College (NYCC).

  • Complete approximately 96 pre-professional credits (47 credits in the General Education Curriculum Commons and 49 credits in required natural sciences and related courses) within the first three years at Felician.
  • Earn your Bachelor of Science in Biology from Felician upon successful completion of your first year of courses at NYCC.
  • Earn your Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) upon completion of the remainder of the required coursework (approximately two years) at NYCC.

In the pre-professional Podiatry Program, you will spend about three years at Felician University and earn your Bachelor of Science in Biology from Felician upon successful completion of your first year of courses at New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan.

  • Complete approximately 96 pre-professional credits (47 credits in the General Education Curricular Commons and 49 credits in required natural sciences and related courses) within the first three years at Felician. You must complete your coursework at Felician University with a 3.00 GPA and earn a minimum of “C” in all specified science courses.
  • Apply to the New York College of Podiatric Medicine at the end of your second year at Felician, one year prior to your desired term of entry into the podiatry program. Applications must be received by June 30 for September admission the following year.
  • Earn your Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from New York College of Podiatric Medicine upon completion of the remainder of the required coursework (approximately three additional years).

Rutgers
Joint Programs

The Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences is awarded jointly with Rutgers University School of Health Related Professions (Rutgers-SHRP). Students must complete specified degree requirements at Felician University before they can enter Rutgers-SHRP for their professional coursework. The program offers professional coursework, with eligibility for national certification and state licensure, where applicable, in the area of Medical Laboratory Science and Cytotechnology.

CLS Degree Requirements

Candidates for the Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science are required to:

  1. Satisfy all entrance requirements;
  2. complete all pre-professional curriculum requirements prior to enrollment at the Rutgers-SHP;
  3. maintain an overall 2.750 GPA with a grade of “C” or better in all required science and math courses; and
  4. earn a minimum of 550 on TOEFL Exam for applicants with foreign credentials who are transferring into CLS programs.
  5. Complete an interview with the Cytotechnology Program Director.

Senior Year
At the Rutgers-SHP
  • The Cytotechnology track requires Histology, which may be taken at Rutgers
  • A recommended biology elective is BIO 405 Genetics
  • The Medical Lab Sciences track requires BIO 403 Immunology. This course is recommended as an elective for Cytotechnology

The Bachelor of Science in Allied health Technologies and Medical Imaging Sciences, are awarded jointly with Rutgers University School of Health Related Professions (Rutgers-SHRP). Students must complete specified degree requirements at Felician University before they can enter Rutgers-SHRP for their professional coursework. The program offers professional coursework, with eligibility for national certification and state licensure, where applicable, in Medical Imaging Sciences, Medical Sonography, Cardiac Sonography, Nuclear Medicine Technology and Vascular Sonography.

Students should declare their intention to pursue a specific joint program as soon as possible within their first year to ensure proper advisement and scheduling of the correct sequence of courses. Note that each program has a minimum GPA as well as other requirements for entry into Rutgers-SHP.

Timely completion of all Joint Degree programs assumes that students enter Felician University with no developmental needs in English or Math.

Medical Imaging Sciences Degree Requirements
  1. The first six semesters of liberal study is taken at the partner institution (minimum of 90 semester hours). General education courses lead toward a concentration in biology with requirements in math, physics, chemistry and biology. The clinical track is selected in the late sophomore or early junior year through an application to Rutgers-SHP.
  2. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.85 and have met or be scheduled to complete all prerequisite requirements prior to the planned date for enrolling in the 4th year specialization coursework. A minimum grade of B- is required for Anatomy and Physiology I and II or the equivalent courses.
  3. Students admitted to the 4th year professional phase are selected by an Admissions Committee from among those applicants meeting these minimum standards.
  4. APPLICATION DEADLINE: January 15th for September.
  5. Students that are in the process of completing courses during the spring semester should submit a letter from their instructor stating their midterm grade for the course. The letter must be on school letterhead and in a sealed school envelope.

  3. Formally apply to the Rutgers-SHRP Physical Therapy program for the professional component of the program by October 1 of your junior year.
  4. Obtain competitive scores on all three sections (verbal, quantitative and analytical) of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
  5. Provide three letters of recommendation, including two from physical therapists.
  6. Arrange a personal interview.

The Occupational Therapy (OT) Program is a collaborative agreement program between Felician University and The Sage Colleges School of Health Sciences, located in Troy and Albany, New York.

Students in the entry-level component for the Occupational Therapy Program complete a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Felician University and complete specific OT program course prerequisites at Felician. You will earn your Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at The Sage Colleges School of Health Sciences.

Applying to Sage Colleges School of Health Sciences

Advisors are available one-on-one and can help you navigate application time lines, requirements, and program prerequisites. You will receive preferred admission to the Sage School of Health Sciences for the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree by demonstrating the following:

  1. Maintain a minimum overall 3.25 GPA that includes the completion of OT program prerequisite courses with grades of C or better (see Required Courses) and a 3.0 prerequisite science GPA.
  2. Apply for admission to The Sage Colleges School of Health Sciences by June 1 of the year preceding your graduation from Felician.
