Executive Director of Graduate and Professional Studies

Felician University, the Franciscan University of New Jersey is offering an exciting opportunity for an innovative, detail-oriented, data-driven, and experienced higher education professional with proven experience and expertise in the education and recruitment of graduate, adult, and non-traditional students. Reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Executive Director provides visionary and entrepreneurial leadership in the growth and expansion of the university’s graduate, doctoral, accelerated, and continuing education programming. S/he has primary administrative and budgetary responsibility for the university’s graduate and professional studies programming, including but not limited to: setting and meeting enrollment targets for all current graduate, doctoral and accelerated programs, and support for the creation of new academic initiatives. The Executive Director collaborates closely with the Vice-Presidents of Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management, as well as the university’s graduate admissions team.

Required Education:

Earned master’s degree in an appropriate discipline with an educational emphasis on the graduate, adult, and non-traditional learner required, doctoral degree preferred.

Qualifications:

5+ years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in higher education: proven experience with accelerated and online program delivery models; demonstrated success in the enrollment management of graduate, continuing education and professional programming; proven experience in the creation of community-based educational partnerships; well-developed technology skills, with a comprehensive knowledge of  Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); demonstrated aptitude to learn and apply department-specific software programs; working knowledge of and hands on experience in developing financial reports of operations, using relevant software, relational databases, and cost accounting systems, as required; ability to assist with dissemination, interpretation and use of such reports for continuous improvement; superior written and verbal communications skills; demonstrated ability to create and deliver a variety of presentations, such as data analyses, general information, and new initiatives—appropriate to diverse constituencies; proven ability to collaborate with a variety of diverse internal and external stakeholders; ability and willingness to support and promote the Franciscan Felician core values and mission of the University.
