How to Apply - Bachelor’s Degrees

You can apply to Felician University for freshman or transfer student status.  

Applying as a freshman

Deadline for Application

July 1 - application deadline for fall semester (August start)
December 1 ­­- application deadline for spring semester (January start)
  • Complete the online application form.
  • Pay the $30 nonrefundable application fee online.
  • Send official copies of all secondary school transcripts in English.
  • Provide an English Proficiency Exam score report - see Demonstrating English Proficiency section.
  • Send SAT/ACT scores, if available. These tests are not required from international undergraduate students but are highly recommended in order to qualify for larger scholarship awards.
  • Submit a personal statement.
  • Provide one copy of your passport information page.
  • To obtain an I-20 for a student visa, please submit a bank statement(s) and a Financial and Sponsor Affidavit form signed by your sponsor and whose name appears on the bank statement.

 Please  Note: If you are applying to the ESL Academic Bridge Program, you must also submit an ESL Application - apply online or download a PDF version.

Applying as a transfer student

Deadline for Application

December 1 ­­– application deadline for spring semester (January start)

  • Complete the online application form.
  • Pay the $30 nonrefundable application fee online.
  • Send official copies of all secondary school transcripts in English.
  • Provide an English Proficiency Exam score report - see below for requirements.
  • Proviide one copy of your passport information page.
  • To obtain an I-20 for a student visa, please submit a bank statement(s) and a Financial and Sponsor Affidavit form signed by your sponsor and whose name appears on the bank statement.

Please note: If admitted, a credential evaluation of all foreign post-secondary school transcripts are required to be evaluated for transfer credits. The evaluation can be submitted after a student is admitted, but before arrival on campus. We accept any service agency that is a member of NACES. To locate an evaluator, please visit the NACES website.

Demonstrating English Proficiency

If your native language is not English, you will need to submit a qualifying test of English score report. We accept any one of the following exams:

A TOEFL/IELTS exam is not required if you meet AT LEAST ONE of the following:

  • Graduated high school or completed at least one year at an institution at a recognized English-speaking country. Please see our Country Exemption List.
  • Earned a C or better in an English 101 course from an American university or received a score of four or higher on the AP English exam.
  • Obtained an ELS English for Academic Purposes Level 112 Completion Certificate within the past two years.
  • Completed our ESL Academic Bridge Program, passed level 4 and an internal English exam.

Where do I send my documents?

Most students scan and submit their application documents via e-mail to the Office of International Programs. Send official copies of transcripts to:

If you are accepted to Felician University, you will receive your acceptance packet and I-20 in one of two ways:

  1. Mailed regular overseas mail (free) but may take up to 3-6 weeks to be delivered
  2. Express mail option (for an additional fee) that will guarantee your I-20 and acceptance packet will be delivered in 3-5 days. We recommend that you select the Express Mail option on your application form.
