WaRC and Parking Lot Groundbreaking
An informal groundbreaking ceremony was held early in the morning of Thursday, May 21 on the site of the Wellness & Recreation Center (WaRC) project on the Rutherford Campus and at the Montross Avenue Parking Lot.
Felician President Anne Prisco was joined by long-time Felician Capital Committee Co-Chairs, J. Fletcher Creamer and Jim D’Agostino along with Senator Paul Sarlo, all wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
The building project, better known as the WaRC, will provide a new fitness center, locker rooms, a studio for dance, yoga & meditation, and more for Felician University students, faculty, and staff members. The long-awaited renovations to the Montross Avenue Parking Lot will include state-of-the-art drainage, paving, upgraded landscaping and fencing.
Felician President, Dr. Anne Prisco said in regard to the WaRC, “We are grateful to all those who are supporting this project including long time advocates Fletch Creamer and Jim D’Agostino. The WaRC will significantly add to the splendor of our Rutherford campus. It will be a place for recreation, relaxation, and renewal for the entire Felician Community. The project has been a long time coming and we all look forward to its completion.”
