Dr. Theoni Mantzoros

RUTHERFORD, NJ – As Felician University prepares for its third bi-annual Felician Autism Collaboration in Teaching (FACT) Conference in March 2023, event co-chair Dr. Theoni Mantzoros prioritizes effective information services for conference attendees.

Felician University’s Dr. John Burke, chair of the FACT conference committee since its genesis, brought on co-chairs Dr. Mantzoros and Dr. Katharine Croce this year to ensure even greater event success. Dr. Mantzoros is also serving her first year as Felician faculty.

“I was thrilled at the opportunity to co-chair this endeavor,” said Dr. Mantzoros, Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Felician University. “My main goal has been to ensure that we have effective avenues to disseminate information to our audience. Our speakers have so much to offer in terms of practical strategies that individuals can implement immediately for better quality of life.”

Dr. Mantzoros has led information collection for conference vendors as well as overseen collection of presentation proposals with Dr. Croce. The co-chairs collaborated to facilitate outreach to local Applied Behavioral Analystics programs, colleagues in the world of ABA academics and research, and ABA scholars.

Offered for the first time in a hybrid format, the FACT conference expects to host about 250 guest participants in-person, with an unlimited number of attendees online.

“In terms of presentations and vendor applications, we’re seeking to cover three areas of focus for the conference,” said Dr. Theoni Mantzoros. “Our specific goals center around field research, collaboration for professionals in the autism education field, and parents, family, and caregivers of individuals with autism.”

The FACT conference will be held on March 24, 2023, on the Rutherford campus of Felician University. Headlined by three keynote speakers and leaders in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) research, the conference will educate the greater Felician community on interpersonal and institutional support for ASD individuals.
