Dr. Joy de los Reyes Recognized by Journal of Faculty Development and Strategic Enrollment Management Quarterly

Journal of Faculty Development, Sept 2023 issueRUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician University is pleased to announce that Dr. Joy de los Reyes of the School of Business & Information Sciences, has been published in two leading higher education journals, both in areas of keen interest to her work – social media marketing and teaching pedagogy.

With a D.B.A. in Social Media Marketing, Dr. de los Reyes focuses her research on ways in which social media marketing can influence the prospective college student in the decision process, particularly at the information seeking stage of John Dewey’s Consumer Decision Framework. Her research titled, “The Influence of Instagram and Social Media Marketing Engagement on Prospective College Students’ University Selection,” was featured in the July 2023 issue of Strategic Enrollment Management Quarterly.

Most recently, Dr. de los Reyes collaborated with Dr. Charity Dacey of Touro University and Mr. Jon Bergmann, author of The Mastery of Flipped Learning, to publish their manuscript titled, “The Emergence of Flipped Learning Teaching Practices during the COVID-19 Pandemic and its Impact on Active Learning, Engagement, and Motivation of Students and Faculty”. Dr. de los Reyes arranged for Mr. Jon Bergmann to provide a presentation for Felician University faculty on Flipped Learning post-COVID as chair of the Faculty Development Committee. Dr. Joy M. de los Reyes is an Associate Professor of Marketing in the School of Business & Information Sciences (SOBIS) at Felician University. She was formerly the Chair of the Faculty Development Committee and Strategic Planning Committee, and currently serves on the Curriculum Committee, Co-Chair of the Student Engagement Initiative, is founder of the Women’s Leadership Initiative, and the SOBIS Faculty Senate representative.
