Nursing Grad Looks Forward to Starting Career
RUTHERFORD, NJ May 28, 2021 – Vincent Pace graduated from Felician University’s Nursing school with his BSN and is looking forward to starting his career as a registered nurse. One of the reasons Vincent choose Felician was the nursing program’s NCLEXRN pass rate which was for 95.95% for 2020. The NCLEXRN exam tests a student’s critical thinking and knowledge of the nursing process. The exam is notoriously difficult and passing is mandatory before a student can become a registered nurse. “Felician’s pass rate obviously proves how good the education is at Felician,” said the Old Bridge Township resident.
Vincent says he wanted to follow in the footsteps of an aunt who is now in her third decade as a nurse. He worked as a Tai Kwon Do instructor where he taught students life skills, discipline, and perseverance, but says nursing is where he wants to help people, “in a more holistic way, working with the whole person, mind and body.”
Vincent knew graduating from Felician “wouldn’t be easy, but I knew it would be worth it.” Part of what made him so sure are the high standards Felician sets for its nursing students. He also liked the University’s small size and the personal attention of professors. “You get a lot of individual care. The teachers were just so supportive and very enthusiastic to answer students’ questions. I think the nursing teachers at Felician love what they do and at Felician University you are not just a number.” Vincent says one of the biggest things he learned at Felician was the importance of “compassionate care.”
Vincent is also proud to have been inducted into the International Honor Society of Nursing.
