In September 2021, the U.S. Department of Education awarded Felician University a $4.46m Fostering Inclusive Excellence for STEM Achievement (FIESTA) Grant.  The purpose of this grant is to foster student success, as well as improve retention and graduation rates of LatinX and low-income students in STEM.

In addition to renovations to Felician’s STEM facilities, and an upgrade of technology and instrumentation, Felician will be delivering intensive STEM readiness programs for rising first-year and transfer students. 

FIESTA will provide various resources to students including living stipends for student participants to attend Summer Bridge programs and research programs, and expand access to tutoring and mental health services.
