Felician Women’s Bowling Is Again No. 2 In Nation In Grade-Point Average

Congratulations to the outstanding Felician University women’s bowling team! For the second consecutive season, the team finished second nationally among NCAA programs in grade point average, according to data released last week by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA). The nine-member Felician squad put together a team GPA of 3.68 for the 2015-16 academic year.

In addition, seven team members were named to the 2015-16 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Team. In order to be named Academic All-NTCA, recipients must have completed a season of competition on an NCAA-sanctioned women’s bowling team and earned a grade-point average of 3.40 or above for the 2015-16 academic year. This year’s recipients include Kaitlyn Buck, Michelle Gulino, Kristen Keller, Alex Laurenzano, Kristin Natoli, Kaitlyn Stapleton, and Jessica Zalewski.

Guided by head coach Andrew Toriello, Felician completed its second season of competition in 2015-16 with an overall won-lost record of 45-64. The Golden Falcons, who finished third in the inaugural East Coast Conference Championship tournament, fielded a team of eight sophomores and one freshman.
