Rutherford, N.J. – Felician University proudly joins institutions around the world in celebrating Healthcare Simulation Week 2025, which takes place September 15-19. This year’s theme, “United Through Simulation,” highlights the continued importance of advancing healthcare education, teaching, and research for the greater good. 

In conjunction with this year’s celebration, Felician University’s Barbara J. Toscano Nursing Resource and Simulation Center (NRSC) earned a meaningful endorsement from the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) for its commitment to excellence in simulation-based nursing education. 

“This recognition strengthens Felician University’s reputation as a destination for nursing education and underscores our commitment to preparing students with skills and confidence to deliver safe and effective care,” said Mary Clare Smith, Director of the Barbara J. Toscano Nursing Resource and Simulation Center. “It positions us to remain at the forefront of simulation education as the field continues to evolve. This milestone reflects the efforts of our entire team, with special thanks to Holly Hutchinson for her invaluable role in guiding this effort.” 

Mary Clare Smith and Assistant Director Holly Hutchinson represented Felician’s School of Nursing at the INACSL Conference in Denver this past June, where they accepted a plaque in recognition of the NRSC’s endorsement.
