Felician University Announces $25,000 Telehealth Challenge Grant
A New Jersey telecommunications corporation has offered a $25,000 Challenge Grant to Felician University’s School of Nursing to enhance its telehealth training. New technology and simulation equipment and advanced training will prepare Felician nurses with the cutting-edge expertise they will need to meet the challenges of the future of healthcare.
For more than 55 years Felician University has graduated highly skilled, compassionate nurses, many of whom are providing vital care on the frontlines of the global pandemic. Social distancing requirements, and the need to protect patients and hospital staff during the COVID-19 crisis have caused rapid changes in the American healthcare system. In many communities the use of telehealth has increased by more than 1,000%.
The Felician School of Nursing is enhancing telehealth training throughout its programs. A New Jersey corporation is providing a matching grant of $25,000 to fund this training and equipment. Businesses, healthcare agencies, individuals, alumni, and community organizations are invited to step up to support this enhanced training and invest in meeting the challenges of the future of healthcare.
If you’d like to be a part of this potentially lifesaving initiative and help prepare the next generation of Felician nurses with outstanding telehealth training you can make a donation online at www.feliciancaring.com or contact Maura DeNicola, Vice President of Advancement at 201-355-1432 or denicolam@felician.edu
Felician University continues to change the world, one graduate at a time.
