Felician President Elected Middle States Commissioner

Rutherford, NJ—Felician University President Mildred Mihlon, Ph.D. has been elected as a Commissioner with The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

MSCHE accredits more than 500 diverse American institutions of higher education and is the regional accrediting agency for colleges and universities in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.

“Each year, we see tremendous interest from professionals who want to serve our Commission, and this year was no exception,” said MSCHE President Heather F. Perfetti. “Our Commissioners are instrumental in supporting our commitment to being future forward, keeping us responsive, and forward-thinking on the evolving needs of our higher education community for the institutions and students we serve.”

Along with three other newly elected commissioners, Dr. Mihlon will begin her four-year term on January 1, 2027. She will serve as an Administrative Representative.
