RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician University congratulates Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and President Deborah Visconi on being named a ‘Top Hospital’ and ‘Top Teaching Hospital’ nationally by The Leapfrog Group for its achievements in patient safety and quality. This is the third year in a row they have been recognized with these top ratings.

Deborah Visconi, also a Felician University Trustee remarked, “I’m proud of the fact that our Medical Center is one of only 132 hospitals nationwide to be recognized as a Leapfrog Top Hospital and one of only 74 to be recognized as a Top Teaching Hospital.”

Only the highest performing hospitals meeting rigorous standards defined in each year’s Leapfrog Hospital Survey ‘Top Hospital Methodology’ are recognized with these prestigious awards. Top Hospitals are known for having better systems in place to prevent medication errors, lower infection rates, and other key quality indicators.

Ms. Visconi was appointed a Trustee of Felician University in January 2023. She received an Honorary degree from the University at the 2021 Commencement ceremony and was the inaugural speaker for the Felician University Women’s Leadership Initiative.
