Associate Professor Named New Associate Dean of the School of Business & Information Sciences

Associate Professor Promoted to Associate Dean of Felician University’s School of Business and Information Sciences!

RUTHERFORD, NJ – Dr. Anthony Scardino is the new Associate Dean of the School of Business and Information Sciences. Dr. Scardino is also an associate professor.

Dr. Scardino has been teaching at Felician for over 20 years and brings an abundance of knowledge and experience to his new role. He currently teaches undergraduate classes in Micro and Macroeconomics, Leadership and Strategy, and International Business. He also teaches Economics for Managers, Ethics and Social Responsibility, and Entrepreneurial Leadership and Business Formulation in the Master of Business Administration program.

Advising, interacting, and teaching all students is instinctive for Dr. Scardino. He is a popular figure at Felician events and activities and something Dr. Scardino thoroughly enjoys. He shares his professional experience in the classroom and often expresses how rewarding he finds his work.

Dr. David Turi, an Associate Professor in the School of Business and Information Sciences, spoke about his long-term colleague, stating, “I have had the honor of serving in the School of Business and Information Sciences with Dr. Scardino for over 20 years. His passion for student success as well as the mission of the institution has always been of the utmost importance to him. He is a great addition to the administrative team here at Felician University.”

Prior to his career at Felician, Dr. Scardino held business positions and was a consultant for small businesses.

Dr. Scardino attended Scuolo Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy for Italian/European studies. He received his bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University in Political Science and International Relations, his Masters of Public Policy in Economics and International Relations from Pepperdine University, and earned his PhD in Leadership and Organization Change from Antioch University.

Felician’s School of Business and Information Sciences integrates the corporate and academic settings, bringing them together to develop the entrepreneurial leadership, management, real-world problem solving, and ethical decision-making skills necessary to succeed. This experience gives students the added ability to effectively transition into professional careers.
