Ecological Learning Assessment and PRT with Children with ASD
A study is underway at Felician University to assess the utility of an Ecological Learning Assessment (ELA) approach to develop individualized programs based on Pivotal Response Teaching.
About the Study
- Assessing and delineating individually defined pivotal or crucial skills may be accomplished using a behavioral assessment known as the Ecological Learning Assessment (ELA) approach. The goal of an ELA is to document factors that influence learning.
- Children will participate in an intervention twice per week for approximately 20 visits each lasting 60 minutes. Parents will participate in the program and receive direct training in the PRT methodology.
- All sessions will occur at Felician University.
Participant Eligibility
- Children ranging in age from 3 to 12 years who are diagnosed with ASD or who show core characteristics of ASD.
