Felician University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is perfect for high school seniors and transfer students looking to earn their BSN degree and make a difference in their community. Our four-year, full-time program provides a broad education grounded in the liberal arts and sciences, nursing theory, and practice. You will learn from faculty who are leaders in their fields and expert clinicians, dedicated to preparing graduates for the challenges of complex and changing healthcare systems.

Graduates of our undergraduate nursing program are eligible to apply to the State Board of Nursing to take the NCLEX-RN examination and qualify for admission to graduate study. Felician’s program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.

For students looking to change careers or majors, Felician offers an Accelerated BSN program that enrolls students three times per year.

Curriculum

In Felician’s BSN classes, our teaching strategies have lead to success for our students, both in licensure and their careers. In 2022, Felician students achieved an 93.75% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). Furthermore, our state-of-the-art Barbara J. Toscano Nursing Resource and Simulation Center provides the opportunity for students to perform nursing procedures on technological mannequins.

Felician’s Nursing major features classes in biology, nursing, psychology, and more. Nursing courses provide a range of classes for students in various specialties such as medical-surgical, mental health, pediatrics, maternity, population, and community health. The program also features a 6-credit “Senior Immersion” wherein students work a weekly 12-hour shift in a hospital in various clinical areas. View our list of required courses to learn more.
