Assistant/Associate Professor, Mathematics

Felician University, the Franciscan University of New Jersey, seeks an academically qualified specialist to serve as Assistant/Associate Professor of Mathematics in the School of Arts and Sciences for the 2025-2026 academic year. Candidates should have experience teaching in a traditional and online environment and must be willing to pursue Felician online certification.  S/he must possess comprehensive mathematical expertise to teach across the complete spectrum of undergraduate mathematics courses, from developmental and foundational courses through advanced upper-level offerings required for the bachelor’s degree in mathematics. S/he will serve students at all levels of mathematical preparation utilizing exceptional communication skills to make complex mathematical concepts accessible and engaging for diverse learners.

Required Education:

Earned doctoral degree in Mathematics or related field such as Mathematics Education or Applied Mathematics

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise across the full spectrum of undergraduate mathematics curriculum from developmental through advanced coursework.
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience in mathematics at the college level.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated skill in working with students of diverse academic backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Proficiency with mathematical software, learning management systems, and educational technology tools.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning preferences and academic preparation levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
