Help Desk Level 1 Technician

Felician University is presently seeking service-oriented, collegial, and responsive IT professional to serve as the Helpdesk Support Technician.  The Technician provides first-level support to Faculty, Staff, and Students in assisting them with hardware and software problems via phone, email, or onsite assistance.

Required Education:

BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field preferred

Qualifications:

2-4 years relevant 1st line / Helpdesk support experience; demonstrated experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office suite (MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, One-Drive, MS Teams); demonstrated experience with managing Outlook within a network environment (permissions, calendar sharing, archiving, and delegation); excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people; strong verbal communication skills to disseminate information in a clear and concise manner, in person and over the phone; well-developed organizational skills, with a high degree of personal motivation, self-management, and detail-orientation; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and work efficiently; professional demeanor and appearance; strong knowledge of Microsoft-based operating systems with emphasis on Windows desktop technologies (Windows 10 and 11); familiarity with “Smart” board configurations and setup; solid understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration and imaging computers; willingness and ability to support and promote the Felician Franciscan mission and values of the University.
