The position of Career & Internship Advisor is a full-time, twelve-month appointment. The Career & Internship Advisor offers individual career counseling, internship, and job-search advising to students and alumni, develops and presents workshops, and develops positive relationships with students, employers, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents. The Career & Internship Advisor also serves as an administrator of career services’ technology systems, and provides assistance in web-based technology, data collection, management, and reporting.

BA/BS degree required. Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Business, Psychology, Counseling, or related field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in Higher Education (preferably Career Services or Academic Advising); superior verbal, writing, and presentation skills; experience managing data, forms, applications and confidential material; thorough knowledge of online databases, especially career related databases (i.e., Handshake, and Focus2 is a plus), hands-on experience preferred; ability to multi-task (i.e., scheduling appointments, answering phones, greeting anyone that enters the office) and meet deadlines; comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and social media tools (i.e., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn); desktop publishing experience preferred; ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with students, employers, staff and faculty from multiple departments and schools; ability and willingness to work evening and weekend University functions as required; ability and willingness to supervise the department in the absence of or in conjunction with the Director
