Associate Director of Marketing and Communications

Felician University is presently seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced marketing professional to serve as the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications.  The Associate Director supports the strategic communications and marketing efforts of the university and works closely with the Director to implement initiatives that align with institutional priorities. S/he oversees daily operations and manages a team responsible for content creation, digital marketing, social media, and media relations, assisting in development and execution of creative strategies that enhance the university’s visibility and engagement across multiple channels.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field required, Master’s degree preferred

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in communications, marketing, or public relations, ideally within higher education.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervision, management and mentoring staff, with a focus on team collaboration and professional development.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and web content management.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms, CRM tools, and analytics software.
  • Familiarity with higher education marketing trends and challenges.
  • Proven ability to lead digital marketing campaigns that drive engagement and brand awareness.
  • Crisis communications experience and media relations expertise.
  • Willingness and ability to support and promote the Felician Franciscan Mission and values of the University.
