Spring 2024 Semester Move-Out Guidelines

The Housing and Residence Life Office aims to assist students with the essential details regarding spring move-out procedures.

Move-Out Date:

The move-out date for the spring semester is Friday, May 17th. Upperclassmen students participating in the graduation ceremony will be granted an extended stay and are required to check out by Friday, May 24th. Such students must complete the Move-Out Extension Request Form, which must be approved by Residence Life. Please note that the dining plan will not be active during this time, and students approved for an extended stay will be responsible for their meals. Students are advised to plan their travel accordingly as extended stays beyond these dates will not be granted.

Checkout Guidelines

All students must complete the express checkout process and remove all belongings from the residence halls. Felician University will not be responsible for any items left behind after checkout, which may be discarded or donated, and residents will be billed for improper checkout. Please note that on-campus storage is unavailable, so plan accordingly if storage is needed.

Please adhere to these guidelines:

  1. Pack and remove all belongings.
  2. Clean bedroom and bathroom.
  3. Empty laundry appliances of clothing.
  4. Dispose of trash and clear the refrigerator.
  5. Arrange furniture properly.
  6. Unplug and take all electronic devices with you.
  7. Return all issued keys.
  8. Complete Express Check-out Form.

Prevent Damage Billing or Improper Checkout Charges:

Residents bear financial responsibility for any damages or unsatisfactory room conditions. To avoid being billed for an Improper Checkout, ensure your room is in good condition and adhere to the checkout guidelines. Report any necessary repairs by contacting Residence Life before checkout. Charges are determined through inspections conducted by Housing staff and an assessment of the living space’s overall condition, referencing the Room Conditions Report Form completed by the student at Check-In.

Express Checkout Process:

To complete the housing check-out procedure, please follow the steps of the Express Checkout process. This allows you to leave your room without the need to schedule a meeting with a housing staff member.

Residents are required to fill out the Express Checkout Form before departing from campus. You can access the form by scanning the QR code on the Express Checkout Box in your building’s lobby or by clicking here. When leaving the building, please return all keys using an Express Checkout Envelope. Moving carts can be requested from the security personnel in your building to assist you in transporting your items; kindly return the bins after use.
