Manager of New Hire Onboarding and Training

Felician University, the Franciscan University of New Jersey is offering an exciting opportunity for an outgoing, detail-oriented, and experienced human resources professional to serve as the Manager of New Hire Onboarding and Training. The Manager oversees all functions associated with the onboarding of new employees, including but not limited to: timely review and updating of all new hire documents; outreach, coordination, distribution, follow up and processing of new hire documentation; scheduling and execution of required subsequent training modules for new hires.  He/she is responsible for identifying, facilitating, and monitoring training activities required to support new employees in the successful execution of the responsibilities of their respective positions as they relate to processes and procedures of Human Resources management.  He/she also manages the front desk/reception area of the Office of Human Resources and serves as the backup for the Manager of Payroll and HRIS.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree required

Qualifications:

2+ years’ experience in support of all functions of the Office of Human Resources including general office management, payroll, benefits, employee relations and supervision of student workers; computer expertise with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet and email; comprehensive knowledge of office management procedures and practices; demonstrated ability in the utilization of office technology and automation equipment; excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated platform skills; superior organizational skills; well-developed problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task, and to prioritize workflow and office operations; ability to recognize and manage sensitive and/or confidential personnel and administrative information; excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people including but not limited to administrators, staff, faculty, students and external stakeholders; ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan mission and values of the University.
