Important Message from Dr. John Burke and the SCC

Dear Felician University Community,

Happy New Year and welcome to the first Friday FRESH (Felician Remains Engaged, Safe, and Healthy) Message from the SCC (Standing COVID Committee).

Please read the SCC FAQs attached with live links and pictured below regarding COVID-19 booster vaccinations and PCR testing requirements and procedures.

As you know, all on campus administrative operations for Lodi and Rutherford except for essential services will be conducted remotely until January 17, 2022. Each Vice President will provide specific directions for the operations within their respective departments for this timeframe to ensure all University employees are informed and understand what is required.

Classes will begin as scheduled on January 24th, and students may begin to move into the residence halls on their assigned day and time beginning January 22. We will be implementing remote learning for the first 2 weeks of the semester, with face-to-face instruction beginning on February 7, 2022.

All eligible members of the Felician University Community require a booster vaccination and a negative PCR test before returning to our campuses. If you are using the testing site located on the Rutherford campus at 217 Montross Avenue in the little white house to the left of Education Commons, the hours of operation at 8am to 6pm. 8am to 11am are exclusively for Felician University and it is encouraged that you arrive between those hours. You can use this QR code to register ahead of time.

Once you have reported your booster vaccination or exemption, you are eligible to enter the weekly iPad raffle drawings.  Students should fill out the smart sheet linked here and faculty and staff should use this link hereEntries will be closed out each week on Thursday at 12pm.  You do not need to re-enter if you do not win.  Winners will be drawn and contacted each Friday.

Keeping our Felician University Community safe and healthy is a priority. Thank you on behalf of the SCC for continuing to be an important part this collaborative effort to ensure success.

In Peace and Health,

Dr. John Burke, Chair
Standing COVID Committee
