Assistant Professor, Accounting

Felician University is presently offering an exciting opportunity for an academically qualified, full-time faculty with expertise in accounting. The candidate should have significant practical accounting experience, with a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices, as well a proven track record of teaching excellence. S/he should be comfortable developing and delivering courses across various formats (in-person, hybrid, online), as well as strong research skills and a passion for publishing. The Assistant Professor will be expected to participate in university events, student advisement, assessment, and curriculum development.  Excellent communication skills and a commitment to professional growth are essential.  Currency in accounting standards and regulation, CPA examination requirements and other professional certifications required.

Required Education:

CPA certification and Master’s degree in related field required; PhD, DBA or JD preferred.

Qualifications:

3+ years’ experience teaching undergraduate and graduate-level accounting courses; proficiency in teaching both in-person and online formats; willingness and ability to teach at off-campus locations as needed; demonstrated experience in curriculum assessment and willingness to participate in assessment training; familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) such as Brightspace; superior written and verbal communications skills; ability to collaborate and engage with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff; professional accounting experience and industry connections preferred; willingness and ability to support the Felician Franciscan mission and core values of the university.
