Felician Welcomes New Administrators
President of Felician University, Dr. Anne M. Prisco, said:Â “As we begin the 2017-18 academic year, I welcome these new members of our Felician family and look forward, in the true Felician spirit of collaboration, to working with each of them on our shared goal and focus of delivering the greatest amount of value to our students in helping them realize their dreams and aspirations for bettering their lives and the lives of others.”
Joining Felician’s Senior Administrative Officer group as Vice President for University Advancement is Dr. John Farkas. Dr. Farkas comes to Felician after serving as Chief Development Officer for Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. With over twenty years of experience in fundraising and higher education, he brings a wealth of experience to this role. Dr. Farkas has raised more than $135 million, demonstrating success in securing major gifts from individual, foundation, government, and corporate donors. He earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Georgia State University and an M.S. and B.S. from University of Scranton. With his arrival, Felician has changed the name of the department to Office of University Advancement.
Felician University also announced the appointment of Dr. Stephanie McGowan as Dean of the School of Education. Her background includes fifteen years of experience within higher education and educational leadership. Her previous roles included Director of Accreditation and Assessment at Kean University; Associate Dean at Seton Hall; Director of the Master of Arts in Teaching Program at Drew University; and Director of Education Enrollment & Certification at William Paterson University. Dr. McGowan completed her doctorate in Educational Leadership, Administration and Policy at Fordham University.
Dr. Ronald Gray joins Felician University as Dean of Students. He brings a long history of successfully collaborating with students and staff. Dr. Gray has over fifteen years of experience in higher education administration in both Academic and Student Affairs and will oversee Felician University’s Residence Life, Career Services, Community Rights and Responsibilities, Student Engagement, Leadership and Development, Health Services, and Counseling Services. Dr. Gray has experience assisting a diverse student population through difficult and challenging circumstances while helping students to achieve personal and academic goals. He received his Ph.D. in Social and Comparative Analysis in Education from the University of Pittsburgh, M.A. from State University of New York College at Buffalo, and B.A. from Pennsylvania State University.
Additionally, Felician announced the appointment of Ms. Tiffany Austin as Director of Career Development. Ms. Austin brings over seven years of experience assisting multi-ethnic undergraduate, graduate students and alumni in making informed decisions and providing them with the support they need at every stage of their career development. She worked cohesively with faculty by providing career classes’ specific to the course and major of individual students, and has developed strategic plans for Career Services offices. Ms. Austin received her M.A. in Higher & Adult Education form Teachers College/Columbia University and her B.A. from the State University of New York at Old Westbury.
Felician also welcomes Mr. Clevell Roseboro II as Director of Library services. Mr. Roseboro’s library experience includes positions as Dean, Director, Librarian, and Archivist. He earned his MLS degree at North Carolina University and is completing doctoral studies in Library Science at Long Island University.
