Felician University announced it received official word from the New Jersey State Board of Nursing that its School of Nursing class of 2015 achieved a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).

“The success of our graduates demonstrates the high quality of our students, faculty and overall nursing program,” said dean of Felician University’s School of Nursing, Dr. Muriel Shore. “I am very proud of this towering achievement, which is reflective of the commitment and diligent work of our students.

“On behalf of the administration, faculty and staff, I wish heartfelt congratulations to each of our graduates for a job well done, and a successful and fulfilling journey as they enter the very honorable profession of nursing,” Shore added.

According to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, the NCLEX-RN is designed to test the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for the safe and effective practice of nursing on an entry level. Passing the exam is required for admission into the nursing profession. The pass rates of graduates on the NCLEX exam is often considered the most important measure of a nursing program’s quality and effectiveness.
