We are delighted that you have chosen Felician University, the Franciscan University of New Jersey, to continue your education. We know you are eager to begin your journey - the information provided here will help to make your next step a successful one.
Orientation Check List
Once you have completed the Orientation Check List above, here are some other things that you can do to prepare for starting your new degree program.
If you have not taken university-level English or math, you will be required to take a placement examination prior to starting the program. Please contact Academic Advising at 201.559.6043 to schedule an appointment for testing.
Advisement, Registration, and Start of Classes
Please visit our advisor website to identify your primary academic advisor, who will work with you to ensure you have a smooth and successful transition into your life as a Felician student. Your advisor will evaluate your transfer credits (if any), help you to register for classes, provide academic advisement, and identify upcoming start dates for your program.
The State of New Jersey requires all students attending classes at our main University campuses in Lodi and Rutherford, as well as students pursuing the Master of Science in Nursing through our online program, to complete a health form. You will receive this form directly from the Felician Student Wellness Office. Please complete and return this form as soon as possible once you have received it.
Financing Your Degree
Felician University is committed to providing students with a nurturing and affordable academic environment - that's why we remain one of the most affordable private universities in New Jersey.
It is important to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), as it is the only way that we can determine if you will qualify for any federal or state grants or loans. We recommend that you file the FAFSA as soon as possible. You can file online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Filing online is recommended as it is quicker and more efficient. To file online you must first create an account to obtain a PIN by visiting www.pin.ed.gov.

Scholarships and Grants*
Felician University offers some assistance in the form of grants to qualified students (see below). In addition, please feel free to contact our Office of Financial Aid if you are interested in information to help you seek outside scholarship or grant assistance.
Felician Alumni Grant
Felician offers a $100 per credit award to our alumni who wish to continue their studies by enrolling in another degree program offered on the Felician Campus. Please contact your admission counselor to apply.
Felician University Military Grants*
Felician has designed special grants for qualified veterans, active duty service members, and their families when they enroll in our associate degree programs. These grants are available in addition to military education benefits. To receive more information or apply, please contact our Coordinator of Military Recruitment at 201.559.6102.
Felician participates in the Federal TEACH Grant program, which provides grants of up to $4,000 per year to students who intend to teach full time in a high-need field to low-income students upon graduation. The grant requires adherence to strict guidelines. You are strongly encouraged to consult with your admissions or financial aid counselor prior to submitting an application.

Here is some information about some of our student services that you will need in order to prepare and get started in your life as a Felician Student.
Student ID Card/Parking Permit (Lodi/Rutherford Campuses)
Once you are registered for classes, you can bring your Class Admit Slip to the Student Government Office in Albin Obal Hall on the Lodi campus to purchase your Student Identification Card and parking sticker ($5 each), which will be valid throughout your degree program. Parking stickers are required to park at any of our main campuses. If you will be attending one of our programs at an off-site location, please check with your site director for parking information. You are encouraged to purchase your parking sticker within two weeks of registering for classes in order to avoid receiving a parking ticket. Please contact security at 201-559-3561 for more information.
It is important that you obtain and use a Felician email address. Administrative offices and faculty will use this email address as a primary way to contact you during your time as a Felician student. When you register for classes, your Felician email address and password will be mailed to your primary mailing address. In addition, this letter will provide you with information you need to access WebAdvisor, an online platform that will enable you to view information such as your schedule and grades, and to interact with various campus offices. For email or Webadvisor issues, or if you do not receive required login information, please contact the IT Help Desk or call 201.559.6165.
Felician University uses eCollege as its platform for online course delivery. Upon registering for an online course, students will be assigned login information for eCollege via their Felician University email. Be aware that registration for an online course is closed on the first day the course begins. If you have any questions, please contact the eCollege Help Desk or call 877-740-2213.
Please contact the Office for International Programs to discuss issues related to your student visa and I-20. They are located on the Lodi campus and can be reached at 201.559.6196 or OIP@felician.edu.
On-campus housing is available for adult and graduate students interested in residing on-campus while they complete their degree programs. To apply for housing, please fill out and submit the application for housing form.
Emergency Notification System
Students can sign up for e2Campus, a universal notification system that allows Felician University administration to notify you of emergencies, school closures, or other time-sensitive messages via text, email, and/or pager.

- Return your Confirmation of Enrollment Form which was included in your acceptance packet mailed to you by Felician, along with your non-refundable tuition deposit. This will secure your place in our entering class. Checks should be made payable to Felician University.
- Contact your program advisor for advisement and registration, and to verify your program's start date.
- File a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) if you desire financial assistance.
- Submit your housing application form if you wish to live on campus.
