Felician’s School of Nursing Sees Strong NCLEX Results
RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician University’s School of Nursing remains dedicated to preparing highly-skilled, compassionate, and workforce-ready nursing professionals. Reflecting this commitment, Felician’s nursing students achieved an impressive 98.6% first-time pass rate on the NCLEX-RN exam (National Council Licensure Examination) in the third quarter. This was accomplished by 155 Felician nursing students in the BSN (Bachelor of Science Nursing) and ABSN (Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing) programs.
Year-to-date, Felician nursing students (combined BSN and ABSN) have passed at a 97.4% rate, well above the national (86.8%) and state (87.3%) averages during this same period.* Of note, 100% of Felician traditional BSN students have passed the exam in 2026. This accomplishment highlights the strength of the School’s rigorous, comprehensive curriculum and the dedication of its faculty across both baccalaureate and master’s degree programs.
Dr. Patricia Munno, Interim Dean of the School of Nursing, stated, “I am incredibly proud of our students and the faculty and staff who support them every step of the way. These outstanding NCLEX results reflect our students’ hard work and the dedication and expertise of our nursing faculty. Preparing knowledgeable, compassionate nurses is at the heart of everything we do.”
The NCLEX-RN assesses the knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment needed to practice safely as an entry-level registered nurse. Graduates’ success on this examination is an important indicator of a nursing program’s effectiveness in preparing students for professional practice.
Felician University’s School of Nursing continues to prepare nurses who bring clinical excellence, compassion, and leadership to healthcare. Through rigorous coursework, hands-on learning, and strong clinical partnerships, students develop the confidence and judgment needed to care for patients, families, and communities. The school’s continued growth reflects its commitment to expanding access to nursing education while maintaining high expectations for student success.
