Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
Felician University community members participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event hosted by the American Cancer Society. The occasion took place at MetLife Stadium on Saturday, October 30.
Deanna Valente, Dean of the Center for Academic Technology, said, “So many of us have cared or lost someone to breast cancer. This event has continuously showed support and acknowledgement to the survivors by making them feel special in leading the way with signs that detail how many years they have been living with breast cancer and empowering the families to continue their support for the cause.”
Felician’s team was represented by about 30 walkers including alumni, faculty, staff members, and students. The 3-mile walk was dedicated to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research, care, survivors, and support.
What started out as a cold and rainy day quickly transformed into sunshine as the Felician Community walked together.
