Felician University’s Associate Vice President of Student Life Recognized with NJBIZ Honor!

RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician University is excited to announce that Associate Vice President of Student Life, Janel Owens, has been named to the 2021 NJBIZ Forty Under 40 list.

Owens stated, “I am greatly delighted to be chosen as a recipient for the 2021 NJBIZ Forty Under 40. It’s an honor to be a part of such an amazing group of award recipients! I am excited to continue to contribute to Felician University and New Jersey going forward.”

Each year, NJBIZ recognizes New Jersey’s next generation of business leaders by presenting its Forty Under 40 class. Recipients can range from a variety of industries such as healthcare, higher education, nonprofits, etc. The people are selected through an open nomination process and then chosen by a panel of independent judges.

Janel Owens joined Felician University in 2020 and achieved many accomplishments during her first year. With over ten years of experience serving and leading faculty, staff, and students, she aims to continuously play a positive role across our campuses. This past year, she was the Chair of the Return to Campus Committee which planned the Felician University Community’s safe return to on-campus and in-person activities.
