Administrative Specialist for Student Success & Accessibility Services

Felician University, the Franciscan University of New Jersey is seeking dynamic, enthusiastic and highly organized full-time professional Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Dean.

 

The Administrative Specialist for Student Success & Accessibility Services is a full-time, in-person, 12-month position with two co-equal areas of responsibility. The role provides direct administrative and operational support to the Dean of Student Success, Retention, & Assessment, including coordination of the Dean’s schedule, communications, meetings, records, reporting, purchasing, events, and assigned priorities.  The role also supports the Office of Accessibility Services, providing administrative and logistical support for approved accommodations, testing coordination, student and faculty communications, confidential records, and related service workflows in partnership with the Coordinator of Accessibility Services.

 

The position serves as a primary point of contact for the Dean’s office and accessibility services and requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion in handling confidential information, and a commitment to responsive, student-centered service and the University mission.

Required Education:

Associate degree and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative experience required, BA/BS preferred

 

Qualifications:

Relevant experience in higher education, student services, accessibility services, or a similar service environment is preferred; demonstrated reliability, initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to responsive, student-centered service; demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities, procedures, technologies, and service needs while managing competing responsibilities effectively; demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, professionally, and with appropriate discretion when serving students, faculty, staff, families, and campus partners; demonstrated ability to handle confidential student information with discretion and to maintain accurate, secure records in accordance with University policies and established procedures; demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple calendars, deadlines, records, service requests, and competing priorities accurately across two functional assignments; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to use University information systems; accessibility-related platforms, and web-based tools to manage scheduling, communications, records, reporting, and service workflows;  willingness and ability to master new computer programs, including student support, accessibility-related, and administrative systems; willingness and ability to support and promote the Felician Franciscan mission and core values of the University.
