Felician School of Business and Information Sciences Appoints Acting Dean

Dr. Deirdre Christofalo who has held a dual appointment as Dean of the School of Business and Information Sciences and Center for Innovation and Professional Studies, will be departing Felician University to pursue another opportunity on April 15th.

Dr. David Turi, Associate Dean of the School of Business and Information Sciences, has been appointed to serve as Acting Dean of the School of Business and Information Sciences in the interim.  It is expected that a Dean search will be established in the 2020-2021 academic year.

Dean Turi has been with the Felician School of Business and Information Sciences for 17 years.  He is an integral member of the University’s Curriculum Strategies Committee and served on the 2017 IACBE (International Accreditation Council for Business Education) Self-Study and the recent Middle States Self-Study Accreditation teams.  Dr. Turi was a leader in the development of Felician’s BS degree program in Business Analytics and is a long-time member of the Internal Review Board for the University. His professional affiliations include his recent appointment to Chair of the Board of Directors of IACBE and his past service as Treasurer and Board Member for Middle States.

Dr. Turi has previously served on a number of University search committees including most recently, for Vice President of Business and Finance.  He received his
Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University, MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and his Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership, Management and Policy from Seton Hall University.

Dr. Turi himself remarked that he plans to focus on “helping the School of Business and Information Sciences transition as we search for a new Dean,” adding that, “but for now we need to focus on today.”
