Felician College Celebrates Annual Day of Service

Felician College staff, faculty and students participated in the Annual Day of Service.

Approximately 100 members of the Felician College community participated in the Annual Felician College President’s Day of Service on Saturday, April 12. Service this year was in celebration of the Felician Sisters' 140th anniversary in North America.

Volunteer opportunities included spending time with residents at Saint Ignatius Nursing Home in Philadelphia and the Kip Senior Center in Rutherford. Felician staff, faculty and students also volunteered their time at the N.J. Food Bank in Hillside, Father English Food Pantry in Paterson, and Saint Peter’s Haven in Clifton.

The wonderful showing by the volunteers embodied many of the Felician Franciscan values that are part of the College community – respect for human dignity, compassion, solidarity with the poor, justice and peace, service and joy.
