Felician Senior Chosen for All - MET First Team in Basketball

Felician College senior Antoine Obery has been named to the 2012-13 All-Met Division II Men's First Team by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association. The All-Met awards are the oldest set of continuous college basketball awards presented by the media. Balloting was performed by area head coaches.

Obery, a 6-foot-4 forward/guard, is an All-Met selection for the second time. He was a Second Team honoree in his true sophomore campaign of 2009-10. This year, he started all 27 games, and averaged 18.9 points per game, placing third in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. Obery was also named to the All-CACC First Team and the Daktronics all-East Region Second Team.

A four-year veteran and three-year starter, Obery is Felician's all-time leading rebounder with 848. His 1,414 points rank third on the school career scoring list, and he is also among the top five in school annals in assists and blocks. He is the fifth Golden Falcon male to earn All-Met honors, and the second to do so more than once. Obery is a 2008 graduate of Abraham Clark High in Roselle, New Jersey.

Felician posted a 12-15 overall won-lost record in 2012-13 under fourth-year head coach David DeFerrari. The Golden Falcons won six of their final eight regular-season games to qualify for the CACC Tournament with a 9-9 league record.
