About Our President
Anne M. Prisco, Ph.D., was selected as Felician University’s fifth president and began her tenure in July 2012.
A Brooklyn, N.Y., native, Dr. Prisco brings to Felician more than 30 years of experience in higher education, where she served in a number of roles, including administrator, faculty member, consultant and policy researcher.
Before joining Felician, she served as vice president for Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and also taught in the School of Education’s doctoral program and the department of economics.
Previously, she was vice provost at Hunter College of the City University of New York. She also worked with CUNY’s Lehman College, Pace University, St. John’s University, St. Francis College, and Fordham University.
Dr. Prisco earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Arizona, an M.B.A. in finance from Fordham University, and a Ph.D. in economics and education from Columbia University.
She has presented at numerous conferences and held several faculty appointments, including St. John’s University where she taught courses in economics and management.
Since arriving at Felician, Dr. Prisco is leading Felician through a transformational period including facilities enhancements, curricular developments, and the adoption of a new strategic plan that honors Felician Franciscan values and our role in preparing for the future, thus the theme "A 21st Century Education Based on Timeless Values". Dr Prisco is actively engaged on campus and in the community where she continues to present at conferences and sits on several committees and boards.
She is the first secular president in Felician University’s history.
