Follow your passion to become a nurse and earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at Felician College, recognized globally as a leader Nursing jacketsin nursing education. Our four-year, full-time BSN program provides you with a broad education grounded in the liberal arts, sciences, nursing theory and practice. You will learn from faculty who are leaders in their fields and expert clinicians, dedicated to preparing graduates for the challenges of complex and changing healthcare systems.

You will learn in diverse settings, working with people of all ages, races and incomes, and making a difference while perfecting your skills.

Graduates of the program are eligible to apply to the State Board of Nursing to take the NCLEX-RN examination and qualify for admission to graduate study. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.

A college degree in nursing prepares you for the role of generalist nurse:
A “nursing generalist practice includes both direct and indirect care for patients, which includes individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations. The fundamental aspects of generalist nursing practice are: direct care of the sick in and across all environments, health promotion and clinical prevention, and population based health care. A defining feature of professional nursing practice is the focus on health promotion and risk reduction. This will enable graduates to practice within complex healthcare systems and assume the role of provider of care; designer/manager/coordinator of care; and member of a profession.” American Association of Colleges of Nursing (2008)

Felician nursing candidates for licensure have an outstanding pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses.

Nursing Resource and Simulation Center
Our state-of-the-art center provides a realistic healthcare environment where nursing students perform various medical procedures using technological mannequins. Students gain invaluable clinical experience through skills labs and live demonstrations.

Senior Clinical Residency Program
Senior nursing students choose a clinical area of specialization and spend one day a week working a 13-hour shift under the supervision of an RN clinical preceptor.

New Jersey Nursing Students State Convention in Atlantic City, NJ. 
Felician College continues to have the highest number of student nurse members in the New Jersey Nursing Students Inc (NJNS) with 273 members and 11 delegates in 2013. Several students serve as board members for the NJNS.

Admission Requirements

High school and transfer students must meet certain admissions requirements to be considered for admission to the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. If you are a recent high school graduate and need to work on your academics and study skills to meet the admissions requirements, we offer a five-year nursing program, Preparing for a Career in Nursing, to help you succeed.
