Students to Take Part in Harvard Model UN

Nine Felician College students will participate in the Harvard National Model United Nations, which will be held February 13-16 in Boston. This marks Felician’s tenth year of participation.

The students representing Felician College are Christian Alexander, Lisa Alicea, Paula Binsol, Mario Gonzalez, Angelo Iudici, Caroline MacDonald, Anju Mathew, Dempsey Pillotand Anthony Sotelo.

More than 3,000 students from all over the world applied to the prestigious event, which involves the simulation of the actual workings of the U.N. including the creating of a resolution on a topic that is discussed in their committees over the three-day period. This year Felician is representing the country of Monaco; the college’s students will serve on one of the following General Assembly committees: Disarmament and National Security, Legal, Special Political and Decolonization, World Health Organization, and the Special Summit on Sustainable Development. Students attend the opening ceremonies in which a prominent world figure speaks to them. More information about the event can be found at
