Financial Aid Counselor
Felician College is presently seeking a dynamic, goal-oriented Financial Aid Counselor. Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Counselor will assist in the management and administration of federal, state and institutional programs offered by Felician College. He/she supports the Assistant Director with the setup, training, integration, troubleshooting and reporting of the Colleges information system, ensuring continued commitment to innovation and improved financial aid processes. The Counselor also assists students and their families in completing the financial aid process, performs needs analysis and verification in order to identify the optimum financial aid package for each respective student.
1-3 years of counseling or customer/student service experience; excellent written and verbal communications skills; professional, congenial and polite demeanor; demonstrated organizational skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team; computer expertise in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel), Internet and email; knowledge of financial aid process and procedure; ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced growth environment.
